Overview of the Hemerion Roadmap

Boston Mission: Hemerion Engages with the U.S. Healthtech Ecosystem

Upon returning from the annual meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) held in San Diego, Hemerion continued its expansion into the U.S. market. Maximilien Vermandel and Patrick Tricoli, recently appointed Senior Advisor for Strategy and Corporate Development, led a mission to Boston, the cradle of healthcare innovation, with the aim of strengthening our ties with the U.S. healthtech ecosystem and exploring new partnership opportunities across the Atlantic.

This intensive mission enabled key discussions with major institutional, scientific, and economic stakeholders.

Support from Franco-American institutional stakeholders

A meeting with the Consul General of France, Mustafa SOYKURT, was organized to present Hemerion’s development plan and the strategy for deploying our innovation in the U.S. in detail.

Hemerion also held discussions with leaders of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of New England to refine the most relevant commercial strategies for a successful establishment and growth in the United States.

New scientific exchanges confirm U.S. interest in Hemerion’s technology

The mission also featured high-level scientific exchanges at Mass General – Brigham Hospital. In particular, the team met with Prof. Alexandra Golby, as well as E. Antonio Chiocca, MD, PhD, FAANS, a leading figure in the AANS (American Association of Neurological Surgeons).

These discussions confirm the significant interest of the American neurosurgical community in our technology, which was already evident during our presentations at the CNS and the AANS annual meeting.

Engaging with the U.S. healthtech ecosystem

The mission also served as a springboard for Hemerion’s participation in the BIO conference, held in San Diego in June 2026. To prepare for this upcoming event, Maximilien and Patrick had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the teams at MassBio, a driving force behind the life sciences ecosystem in Massachusetts. This trip to the heart of the U.S. healthtech ecosystem also provided an opportunity to forge new contacts with investors and corporate partners in the pharma and medtech sectors.

These targeted discussions notably allowed for the presentation of Hemerion’s roadmap in the United States, which has seen a significant acceleration following the latest decisions by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Fast Track designation and confirmation of the possibility of an Accelerated Approval process.
