Hemerion raises a new round of funding

Hemerion Closes €6.5M Funding Round

In the first quarter of 2025, Hemerion completed a Series A funding round totaling over €6.5 million. This new fundraising follows initial rounds in 2022 and 2023, which raised a total of €5.5 million, bringing the total amount raised by Hemerion since its creation in late 2020 to over €14 million.

Hemerion’s successful funding round involved complementary funding sources: several investment funds and business angels, over 260 private investors gathered through a European crowdfunding campaign, and two public financings.

Balanced Funding Secures Clinical Development

Investment funds, already present in the first funding round, are contributing €2.5 million:

  • The CapTech Santé fund, an investor specializing in health and very active in innovative medical devices, is contributing €1.5 million.
  • The Nord France Amorçage and Fira Nord-Est 2 funds (Finovam Gestion) are contributing €1 million.

The crowd equity operation conducted with the Capital Cell platform raised nearly €0.8 million from 265 private investors, who now constitute a broad and solid shareholder base.

Several business angels are also participating in the round, contributing a total of €735,000.

The funding round also includes two public financings, supported by the Hauts de France Region:

  • The European FEDER fund is contributing €1.5 million.
  • BPI, in collaboration with the European Metropolis of Lille, is providing €1 million in innovation aid.

Preparing Market Access for a First Innovation in Brain Cancer Treatment

This new funding round will finance the preparation of the pivotal clinical trial necessary for the market launch of our Pentalafen® / Heliance® technology in the treatment of glioblastoma.

With this initial indication, Hemerion aims for market launch in Europe and the United States by 2030 and a potential turnover of over €100 million by 2032.

Part of the funding is also directed towards our R&D programs, which notably explore the adaptation of the technology to other types of cancer.
